One salesgirl in a candy store always had customers lined up waiting while
other salesgirls stood around with nothing to do. The owner of the store
noted her popularity and asked for her secret. "It's easy," she said. "The
other girls scoop up more than a pound of candy and then start taking
away. I always scoop up less than a pound and then add to it."

Real joy comes not from ease or riches or from the praise of men, but from
doing something worthwhile. -- Sir Wilfred Grenfell

There is a four-word formula for success that applies equally well to
organizations or individuals : " make yourself more useful. "

This is as bad as it can get, but don't bet on it.

There is always one more SOB than you counted on.

You can't tell which way the train went by looking at the track.

Be kind, everyone you meet is fighting a tough battle.

Tact is the art of making a point without making an enemy.

Indecision is the key to flexibility.

If you think that there's good in everyone, you haven't met everyone.

By the time you can make ends meet, they move the ends.

Happiness is merely a remission of pain.

If you don't like the games people play, make up your own.

The facts, although interesting, are irrelevant.

The careful application of terror is also a form of communication.

As many good things come from disorder as order; and they're often more
interesting.

Not one shred of evidence exists in favor of the idea that life is serious.

The world gets a little better every day, and worse in the evening.

Anything worth fighting for is worth fighting dirty for.

Things are more like they are today than they have been before.

Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler.

Friends may come and go but enemies accumulate.

Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

I have seen the truth, it makes no sense.

To live forever, acquire a chronic disease and take care of it.

There is absolutely no substitute for a genuine lack of interest.

Suicide is the most severe form of self-criticism.

Sometimes too much drink is not enough.

If you can smile when things go wrong, you have someone to blame.

The more you run over a dead cat, the flatter it gets.

If you find something you like.....
buy a lifetime supply before they stop making it.

One seventh of your life is spent on Monday.

Someone who thinks logically is a nice contrast to the real world.
